MI CASA SU CASA: Grace & Humbleness
Introduction:
The Sinai Culture is to live under the authority delegated by the Senior Pastor and his leadership in grace, humility, service, honor, obedience, gratitude, faith, generosity, integrity, excellence, rest, and with a multigenerational mentality.
CORE VALUE #11– GRACE
- Grace is - the free, unconditional, and undeserved gift of God to the sinner.
- Grace is - the theological term for God's "love" for us.
Two Levels of Grace
#1) The first level of grace is - the mercy {rakjam} of God's love.
- It is grace - mercy of God's love - that which "delivers" us and "makes" us children of God (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12).
#2) The second level of grace is - the favor {Kjesed} of God's love.
- The grace-favor of God's love that not only frees us, but also "favours" and "promotes" us, and that has to do with God's name for his children (Psalm 103:4; 109:21).
Some Examples Of Grace - Mercy And Favor
- Joseph, Genesis 39:21 - "But the Lord was with Joseph and extended him his "grace - mercy" {kjahan - libra}, and gave him "grace - favor" {kjesed} in the eyes of the warden of the prison."
- The good Samaritan, Luke 10:33: But a Samaritan, who was on his way, came near him, and seeing him, he was moved to "grace - mercy {pound}".
- Mary the mother of Jesus was favored-among all the women of his time {Luke 1:28-30).
- Grace-favor, she considers the acts, and mercy ignores them (II Chronicles 16: 9a).
CORE VALUE #12– HUMBLENESS
- We know humility is a virtue of the heart. But the biblical concept of humility refers to - having a good understanding of who God is and who we are.
Isaiah Answers The Question, Where does God live? (Isaiah 57:15a)
- The eternity. "For thus said the High and Sublime, the one who inhabits eternity",...
- In the High Places and in Holiness. “And because his name is Holy, he dwells in the“ heights ”and in the“ holiness ”,
- God dwells with the repentant and humble in spirit man. “and with the broken {repentant} and “humble” in spirit,”
- Jesus declared to us that to enter his kingdom-we must be humble as a child (Matthew 18:3-5).
- Jesus called the poor in spirit - blessed and declared that the kingdom of heaven is theirs (Matthew 5:3).
There Are Various Benefits Reserved For The Humble (Isaiah 57:15b; James 4:6-8, 10)
- God restores us - to make live the spirit of the humble (57:15b).
- God revives us - to quicken the hearts of the brokenhearted {repentant} (57:15b).
- He gives us greater grace (4:6). Let's see, Psalm 10:4; Proverbs 8:13; Isaiah 66:2; I Peter 5:5.
- By living in humility God gives us the ability to resist the devil (4:7; Proverbs 16:19).
- The humble have the ability to draw near to God (4:8; Hebrews 4:16).
- The humble is exalted by God (4:10; Proverbs 29:23).
CONCLUSION
- I ask, is it a sin to say that we are humble? NO, let's look at Matthew 11:29; Numbers 12:3.
- Finally, being humble or prideful has to do with the “DNA” we have (Matthew 11:29; John 5:30; Philippians 2:8-9; John 8:44).
